All iPhone 17 models including the iPhone 17 Slim will reportedly support LTPO screens with a 120Hz refresh rate. If this is indeed the case, it's a good thing after years of phone options with 120Hz screens being largely limited to Android only. Not only that, non-iPhone products are also said to no longer use 60Hz screens.
According to 9to5Mac, there are rumors that the LCD screen that Apple still uses will also be upgraded to 90Hz. The devices that are said to use this screen are iPad Air with M4 chip, iMac and also Apple Studio Display. Currently there are no sources from suppliers or analysts reporting the existence of 90Hz screens for Apple products.
But with reports of all iPhone 17 with 120Hz screens, don't be surprised if Apple starts upgrading the 60Hz screen to 90Hz for products that don't count as devices for professional use. Anyway, let's all look forward to more information about it.
