Next year, Apple is expected to replace the iPhone Plus model with a Slim model or maybe Air. The iPhone 17 Slim/Air is said to come with a 120Hz screen, flagship specifications, a thinner design and only have one camera. The latest report states, this iPhone may not be as thin as expected.
This is because, Apple has a problem in terms of battery design of their devices. Apple wants a thin design, but the existing battery design is only 6mm in size - so it will be difficult for the iPhone 17 Air to have a thin design. The iPhone 6 is the thinnest iPhone in history at 6.9mm, while the iPhone 16 Plus is 7.8mm. So, if this new iPhone is thin – its size might be somewhere between the two iPhones mentioned earlier.
Apple has also launched devices with designs that are less than 6mm thick, namely the latest iPad Pro 13″ with a size of 5.1mm and before that the iPod nano with a size of 5.4mm. The iPad is not a problem because of the wide surface, while the iPod nani has limited use. Do you want a thin iPhone if the battery drains quickly or don't mind if it's a little thicker as long as the battery lasts?
