Netflix will start removing the majority of their interactive content starting December 1st according to a report by The Verge. A total of 19 contents that have been offered since 2020 will be removed. Previously there were only two contents namely Minecraft: Story Mode and Puss in Boots: Trapped in an Epic Tale and this is believed to be done due to the expiry of the licensing period with the IP holder.
Interactive content was introduced to give a different dimension to the regular streaming content offered by Neflix before. Netflix is seen to no longer focus on interactive content in the future and continuing its support in the application may be seen as an unwarranted endeavor to continue. The focus on interactive content is now only given to first-time development using their existing IP such as Stranger Things.
