Google is reportedly developing a Google Pixel laptop with flagship specifications. The laptop is codenamed Snowy and is seen in the same class as the MacBook Pro and Dell XPS.
It will still use the ChromeOS operating system and if launched later it will be the first time since 2017 that a Pixel laptop has been launched by Google. This product series ended that year and was replaced by the Pixelbook series. Then the Pixelbook series also ended in 2020.
This report comes at the same time as reports that ChromeOS will be moved to Android to allow tablets with better operating systems to compete with the iPad. The question is whether the new ChromeOS is able to offer a better user experience. At this point it is not an operating system capable of providing serious competition to Windows and macOS.
