Nikon Z50 II Launched With 20.9MP Sensor With Picture Control Features



The Nikon Z50 II mirrorless camera has been launched with a 20.9MP APSC sensor paired with an EXPEED 7 image processing chip. In terms of sensor, it is the same sensor as the original Nikon Z50 launched in 2019. The sensor supports an ISO range of 100 to 51,200.



Among the new features introduced is the pre-capture capability that saves images up to one second before the camera's shutter button is pressed. With this, there will be no incident of missing the image you want to capture. The camera can shoot up to 30 frames per second in digital shutter mode and up to 11 frames per second using the mechanical shutter. In addition, video capabilities have also been improved up to 4K 60p as well as 10-bit N-Log.


The included Picture Control button when pressed will apply special effects to up to 31 presets viewed directly through the viewfinder. With this, the owner can see for himself the change in color tone in real life before using it on the photos and videos he wants to take. There is also an Imaging Recipes feature that allows camera settings to be downloaded. In other words, special effects that exist on smartphone cameras arrive on Nikon digital cameras.



The camera is now also equipped with a 3.5″ LCD screen that can be pulled in various directions matched with a 2,360-point EVF with 1,000 nits. On the original model it could only be turned down. In addition, charging is now via USB-C with PD, there is a mini HDMI port, audio jack, pop-up flash and UHS-II memory usage


The Nikon Z50 II will go on sale later this month for $909.95 (~RM3988) for body only, $1049.95 (~RM4601) with the Nikkor Z 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 VR lens or $1299.95 (~RM5697) with two 16 lens kits -50mm and 50-250mm f/4.5-6.3 VR.
