This year is the year where device manufacturers are racing to launch new generation flagship devices. Not even 2025, we already have many choices of Snapdragon 8 Elite and Dimensity 9400 devices. Most recently, Nubia President Ni Fei has issued a statement expressing disappointment with competitors.
According to him, competitors are now only releasing flagship devices with “fake” Snapdragon 8 Elite chips. Many new devices are introduced with features and functions that are downgraded with the new generation flagship chip as the reason they now have the most powerful and best devices on the market.
Ni Fei added that although their new flagship device, the Nubia Z70 Ultra, is not the best, Nubia is sticking to its own stance not to follow competitors’ strategies. Among them is not using the camera design with the Oreo bump or taking the iPhone design as inspiration. To this day, Nubia has remained with original designs for each flagship device and truly offers innovations such as notch-free screens and camera holes.
Because of this, Ni Fei stated that competitors only offer downgraded flagship devices. Strangely enough, the President of Nubia may not have realized that their operating system is buggy and has not been supported for over two years. Then the main camera sensor of their expensive flagship device is the same as the Samsung Galaxy A55 5G. Who do you think is downgrading?
