NVIDIA Has Reportedly Shifted Graphics Card Production Completely To The RTX 5000 Series

NVIDIA is expected to introduce their GeForce RTX 5000 gaming graphics card series as early as January next year at the CES 2025 event in Las Vegas through the keynote event of company CEO Jensen Huang. It is also expected that the graphics cards, specifically the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 will be introduced shortly after the announcement is made, so for now, it seems that NVIDIA is busy releasing their latest graphics cards.

Through the Boarda Channels industry forum site in China that often discusses what is happening in the manufacturing industry, it is said that NVIDIA has shifted the focus of their production of graphics processing chips and graphics cards almost entirely to meet the demand for Blackwell processing chips that will power the NVIDIA series of graphics cards GeForce RTX 5000.

For the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4000 series of graphics cards, it seems that NVIDIA is only focusing on the production of the AD107 graphics chip used in the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060, which is the most affordable graphics card in the series.

This is seen in line with many reports out there where graphics card models such as NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 and GeForce RTX 4080 are getting harder to find in the market now. NVIDIA has yet to announce the discontinuation of any graphics cards in the series, but it typically takes several months for NVIDIA and graphics card manufacturers to deplete existing supply stocks.

Just like in previous years, NVIDIA is expected to launch their most powerful graphics cards first, as we said above. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 will launch first, while the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 will be shown later. For now, it is not yet known when the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 will be announced.
