OpenAI Gets Chat.com Domain Name

OpenAI which is the provider of the ChatGPT service, is now seen to have obtained and purchased a shorter domain name, namely Chat.com. Through the current revision, when a user opens the Chat.com domain name, it will take the user to the ChatGPT service.

It is not known how much OpenAI paid to get the domain name. According to the review, the previous owner of Chat.com bought it for $15.5 million in 2023, making it one of the most valuable domain names in the market.

For now, it is not known whether OpenAI will rebrand or vice versa from ChatGPT to Chat only.
