With the launch of the Realme GT7 Pro yesterday, one question we saw was about the duration of the update support for the software. Realme confirmed that the GT7 Pro for the global market will receive support for three versions of Android and security patches for four years. This is in line with the support offering on their previous flagship devices.
Realme's software update support is shorter than competitors at this point. As you know only Samsung and Google offer 7+7 year support on their flagship devices as of today which is comparable to what is offered on the iPhone.
Some feel that long-term software support makes the device more worth owning because it lasts longer. Some also say long-term support isn't important because they change devices frequently. How about you? Does the short update support make you a little disheartened?
