Will Samsung's next device be a mobile console? 91Mobiles found a patent for a mobile console with a foldable screen filed by Samsung Display. The console looks like a Nintendo Switch and ROG Ally when open and can be folded to be smaller.
What's unique here is that the screen folds outwards and not inwards like the Z Fold 6. You can see the two analog controllers and shoulder buttons like those used on mobile consoles on the market today. With Samsung recently starting to offer streaming via their Gaming Hub, is this an early sign of consumer interest in this service with the first console being launched?
Almost 30 years ago, Sony entered the console arena after its collaboration with Nintendo ended. Sony, which never offered a console, is now a video game powerhouse through PlayStation. Perhaps with a foldable mobile console, Samsung can also follow Sony's footsteps.
