Shazam Has Performed 100 Billion Song Recognitions

In 2018, Shazam, a popular music recognition service, was acquired by Apple. Until today, Apple has done various things to ensure that Shazam remains interesting to use, such as supporting song searches on TikTok, or including a History feature such as Now Playing on Pixel devices.

Most recently, Shazam proudly shared that they have now successfully performed 100,000,000,000 song recognitions. According to Apple, this amount is as if every person on earth searched for 12 songs. According to them the song Dance Monkey by Tones and I is one of the most frequently identified which is 45 million times.

In conjunction with this success, Shazam also launched Shazam's Top 100 Songs of All Time playlist on Apple Music. Although Shazam is owned by Apple, the application is still offered for Android users on the Play Store. For iOS users, Shazam is also deeply integrated so that it can be accessed on the Control Center.
