The Mac Mini with the M4 chip is the most powerful and most affordable compact computer ever introduced this year. But due to its too small design, some design changes need to be made such as the controversial one is the power button at the bottom. Two Apple representatives have explained why the power button is placed in a strange position.
In an interview with Chinese media outlet Mediastorm, Apple executives Greg Joswiak and John Ternus said the power button needs to be in an optimal place to make it easier for the owner to press it. They also stated that the power button is rarely used by Mac owners.
The power button on the bottom of this Mac Mini will probably only annoy users who often turn off the device after use. macOS is an efficient operating system and can still run smoothly even if it is not turned off. If you are worried about the position of these buttons, several button accessory designs for 3D printing have already been released. If you are interested in the Mac Mini M4, it is sold in Malaysia at a starting price of RM2,499.
