The Apple Vision Pro Idea Began in 2008

We often hear that technology companies have many ideas for device concepts or interesting features. Usually, they will register patents for these ideas. Some quickly become reality and some remain buried in the archives of millions of patents. Recently, a patent for the Apple Vision Pro has been discovered and the date is quite interesting.

Apple seems to have had a vision for the Apple Vision Pro since 2008. In fact, the sketches in the patent document look more or less the same as the final product. The concept stated in the document is “… a type of display in the form of a wearable device that can simulate the real environment in the virtual world with the help of smart sensors. These sensors can detect head and eye movements, the device can adjust the video being played to the environment in the real world …”.

The Apple Vision Pro became a reality only after 15 years because in 2008, Apple's idea could not be realized due to technological constraints. Apple is currently reportedly busy developing a cheaper Apple Vision and is also starting research on smart glasses. It is expected to arrive in 2027 and hopefully will not take a dozen years.
