A decade ago, there were many products that came with innovations such as front-facing stereo speakers, infrared cameras, military-grade ruggedness and modular accessories. The era of experimenting with devices seemed to have stopped recently due to lack of response. In China, the Tank Pad was launched by the company 8849 from Shenzhen, offering various features that other device manufacturers no longer dare to provide.
The Tank Pad is a rugged tablet that passes the MIL-STD-810H shockproof standard and is waterproof and dustproof IP69K. What makes it unique is that it is also equipped with a mini projector and a giant flashlight on the back. The projector has a brightness of 100 lumens while the flashlight is up to 800 lumens.
The device is also equipped with a 10.95″ FHD 120Hz screen, powered by the Dimensity 8200 chip, 16GB RAM, 512GB storage and a giant 21,000-mAh battery. Through dual-SIM support, the tablet supports the 5G network. Meanwhile, the main camera on the back is 50MP which is matched with a 32MP selfie camera. In China, Tank Pads are sold at a price of $799 (~RM3550) each.
