Update support for Windows 10 will officially end on October 14, 2025. Previously Microsoft said that Extended Security Updates support for another three years will be provided after 2025 but only for business customers.
Today they announced that one year of support will be provided to individual Windows 10 customers but for an additional fee of $30 (~RM 131). This support is provided to individual users who are not yet ready or able to upgrade to a Windows 11-supported computer.
In the Statcounter report, Windows 10 is used by 62.79% of PC owners with Windows 11 being 33.37%, Windows 8.1 (3.6%), Windows XP (0.34%) and Windows 8 (0.22%). Microsoft says a way to subscribe to an additional year of ESU for individual users will be announced next year.
