The WWE Network will close at the end of this year with content to be transferred to Netflix and also X. It will start with WWE Raw starting January 2025 and will be followed by SmackDown, NXT, WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and also Royal Rumble. Recently, more details about it were shared by Netflix.
When announced last January, WWE content on Netflix was supposed to be limited to the United States, Latin America, Canada and UK markets only. Netflix Malaysia confirmed that on 7 January 2025 at 9:00 am, Monday Night RAW will be broadcast for local users. Interestingly, Malaysian users can also enjoy this content via live streaming.
Monday Night RAW for Netflix will also feature famous WWE celebrities such as John Cena, "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, and CM Punk. After RAW, SmackDown will air starting January 11th then NXT and coming Netflix will also be home to exclusive WWE documentaries.
Recently Netflix was also proud of their success in broadcasting the live match of Jake Paul and Mike Tyson which reached up to 60 million households watching it. Maybe with the WWE offering, the same thing will happen again and there is potential to increase the number of subscribers as well.
