You Can Now Book Bolt Rides With Up To 50% Off

Every year when I'm assigned to MWC Barcelona, a car with the Bolt logo is sure to show up. It is a well-known drone service in Europe and Bolt has already arrived in Malaysia. Yesterday, Bolt's name appeared on the website of the Land Transport Agency (APAD) to start operating here and today you can use it.

For now, Bolt only offers a ride-hailing service with 4 car options. Bolt, Comfort, XL and Premium. Like Grab, the price and choice of different cars is according to the type of car and the number of passengers. In our review, a trip distance of around 3km costs RM6 and can reach up to RM12.

In conjunction with the introduction at the initial stage, a 20% discount will be given and can be used up to 20 times. For selected users, a discount of up to 50% will be given. In the Bolt application, a digital wallet is also provided for payment purposes as an alternative to cash and card payments. Work profiles can also be set for Bolt to issue special receipts.

For now, Bolt is only limited around the Klang Valley. Their website states that in the future, their services will be expanded to airport rides, food and goods delivery, scooter rentals and more. With the Bolt offering in Malaysia, will you leave Grab or other ride-hailing services?
