Profile pictures are important for social media platforms because they are part of our identity as users for other followers to recognize and verify who the account owner is. On Meta platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp there are many options for profile pictures such as your own picture, Avatar or even a video (on Facebook). In the future, users may be able to generate profile pictures with AI as well.
This feature was discovered by independent developer Alessandro Paluzzi, where on Instagram he found the Creatr An AI profile picture feature. It is an additional option apart from directly using the camera or selecting a picture from the device. Oddly enough, the screenshot image he shared doesn't show the Avatar option. So, is it possible that generating profile pictures with AI is the replacement? For now it is still unknown when this feature will be introduced.
Previously, Paluzzi had also discovered that more or less the same features would also be introduced on Facebook and WhatsApp. I'll probably use this feature because it's easier to generate images than to find the best picture. Anyway, let's all look forward to it.
