Zerocam Is An Android Camera App That Takes Pictures Without AI Processing

All smartphones on the market now use some sort of algorithm or artificial intelligence to process images. Zerocam is a camera application for Android devices that takes pictures directly with the sensor without going through any processing.

If the Halide camera app can do the same for iPhone, Zerocam is an alternative for Android users. Each captured image will be saved in RAW format, then all HDR effects are not saved, the application does not support portrait or macro mode and only has a viewfinder and a shutter button. It basically takes a "raw" photo that requires the user to do the color editing themselves.

The app is free to use but limited to 5 photos per day. For unlimited usage, Zerocam charges a monthly subscription of RM4.99 or an annual subscription of RM45.99. Zerocam also has an iOS version but based on my observation, iPhone users prefer the Halide app. If you want to try to improve the way you take pictures, this is probably the best application because it presents a challenge where interesting features and functions from the device manufacturer have been turned off.
