Apple May Launch Foldable iPad as Early as 2028 with Large Screen

With the race in the foldable device arena, Apple has been reported several times to be in the process of launching its own foldable device design. Previously, according to several early reports, Apple is said to be launching an iPhone that can be opened into an iPad.

Most recently, according to a Bloomberg report, Apple is aiming to launch a foldable iPad as early as 2028. The device currently being developed is in the form of an iPad that can be opened and becomes the size of two iPad Pros combined. This roughly shows that it may be around 20-inches when opened.

With the new design, it allows users to get an iPad that is easy to carry in a medium size, and becomes a large size of around 20-inches when opened. The device may be targeted for graphics purposes and the like, as well as facilitating sketching.

The Bloomberg report also emphasizes that Apple wants the screen on the device to have no folding effect – one of the things that is still a challenge for various existing manufacturers, including Samsung.

However, with a target of around 4 years to go, it is not impossible for us to see developments in screen technology and so on, in enabling the first foldable iPad to offer a better experience.

Let's all look forward to further developments regarding Apple's offerings from year to year.
