Automattic today announced the acquisition of a company focused on building AI-powered solutions for WordPress, WPAI.
WPAI currently provides several products, including CodeWP, which helps WordPress developers with scheduling, AgentWP, an AI agent for WordPress, and WPchat, an alternative to ChatGPT for WordPress-related queries.
With this acquisition, several changes will occur, including the CodeWP and AgentWP products being discontinued and integrated under Automattic’s offering.
The price and value of the acquisition were not disclosed by either party at this time.
