Backing up files from your computer to the cloud is a good practice to avoid data loss in the event of an issue with your device. This can be done anywhere as long as there is an internet connection. Amazon Web Services, a leading cloud service operator, has launched a new service called AWS Data Transfer Terminals that ensures that data can be uploaded quickly and securely by customers.
AWS Data Transfer Terminals are physical locations that customers need to visit. They are aimed at customers who want to upload large amounts of data as quickly as possible using a secure internet connection to ensure privacy.
To further ensure security, the location of AWS Data Transfer Terminals is kept secret with the building having no signage. Customers will be charged based on the hour and not the size of the data uploaded. So far, AWS Data Transfer Terminals have been opened in Los Angeles and New York with plans to open them in more locations around the world.
