Bluesky has confirmed that it will be introducing a subscription service later this month that will offer additional features that are different from free account users. Screenshots of the service have been found by user @saeri.xyz on Github and appear to be called Bluesky+.
The screenshots show that among the features offered are longer video uploads, higher resolution videos, profile personalization and more. Customers will be charged $8 (~RM35) per month or $72 (~RM319) per year to subscribe to Bluesky+. Although the screenshots have been leaked, Bluesky says that they are just a mock-up and not the final offer or price.
Bluesky has promised not to follow Twitter/X's lead in giving access to certain features only to paid users. After Donald Trump's victory last month, Bluesky recorded a sharp increase in users as it is seen as a real alternative to Twitter/X.
