Remember last May, when OpenAI launched ChatGPT-4o, they teased the ability to interact with this AI chatbot as if it were from the movie Her? Users can make “video calls” to interact with ChatGPT and it can understand what is being recorded with the camera including the environment and also the user’s emotions. This feature is now being distributed to select users.
ChatGPT Plus and ChatGPT Pro customers can now take advantage of the Video feature in Advanced Voice mode. From within the app, simply tap the voice icon and then after the voice ball loads tap the video icon. It will display a small window for recording from the front or rear camera and also allow users to share their screen for ChatGPT to analyze what is displayed on the user’s device screen.
From this mode, users can then ask various questions and interact as if they were chatting with a friend in a video call. Users can introduce other friends, play games, learn something and more. This feature is quite powerful and interesting, unlike Google Gemini which is limited to inserting YouTube video links or reading what is displayed on the screen only.
ChatGPT Plus can be subscribed in Malaysia for RM95.99 on Android devices. ChatGPT Pro subscription is limited to the website only at RM890 per month.
