It has been 7 years since the Nintendo Switch was launched, and there are now 4 different mobile game consoles, namely the Switch, the redesigned Switch with a new chip design, the Switch Lite and the Switch OLED. Many are now waiting for the arrival of the Switch 2, which has been confirmed to exist and may be launched in 2025.
Interestingly, Dbrand, a manufacturer of vinyl stickers and popular gadget accessories, claims to have received the actual size of the Nintendo Switch 2. Dbrand admitted that they do not know when this console will be launched, but will offer the Kilswicth Switch 2, which is the protective shell of this new console in March or April 2025.
Not only that, Dbrand is also confident in the size they have received and revealed some details about it. The first thing that is clearly visible is the new physical button below the Home button on the Joy-Con. This button has the label “C, but its function is still a mystery. When compared to the Nintendo 64, the C button is to control the camera. The Switch 2 is also said to be larger at 270mm x 116 mm x 14mm, with a screen of around 8-inches.
Dbrand also claims that the new Joy-Con system uses a magnetic connection with a single button to release it. Along with the Killswitch Switch 2 protective case, the Joy-Con can also be removed at the same time.
The dimensions and design expectations of the Switch 2 by Dbrand are said to be scanned with 3D technology from the actual console. However, Dbrand refused to reveal who their source was for obtaining the dimensions of this yet-to-be-launched mobile gaming console. Kill Switch is Dbrand's durable protective case that sells for around RM300 for the ASUS ROG Ally X.
