Google AI Overviews is a search summary feature built into Google Search. It uses the Gemini model to summarize searches from multiple sources into easy-to-read, concise notes. This support is limited to a few keywords and not all searches will have AI Overviews.
In the future, Google AI Overviews will become even brighter. Each upcoming search will display an animation as if from within the Gemini app. It will also display text such as Looking this up, Putting it all together and possibly some other text before displaying the search results. This animation makes using Google Search more interesting and has a more fun interaction.
It should be noted that every AI search will definitely have hallucinations. Google often reminds users who do their own reviews and/or tells them that their generative AI features are still in the experimental phase.
