Google representatives themselves realize how significant AI is to OpenAI, just like search is to Google. Because of that, Google has big ambitions for Gemini in 2025 and it is very challenging.
Google CEO Sundar Pichai, he targets Gemini to reach more than 500 million users like their 15 other applications/services that have already reached this number. As of today, Google is busy developing a more powerful public language model for Gemini. Google also does not aim to be the first AI company, but rather wants to ensure that their product is the best before wanting to really compete.
Most importantly, Google also does not want to offer a subscription price of up to $200, which is around RM900, for Gemini like OpenAI with their O1 model. According to Google, the price of $20 per month, which is RM97.99 in Malaysia, is a price that has the best value.
