Usually, if you have an interesting app on your device and want to share it with your friends, you'll send a screenshot or directly provide a link to the app store. On Android devices, the Play Store itself offers a Share apps feature that uses Quick Share to easily share app links. This feature will be discontinued soon.
In Google Play Store 44.1, Google stated that this feature will be removed. No reason was given why, but users who took advantage of the feature can now use Google's Files app as an alternative. In Files, the Apps tab also allows users to share apps with Quick Share.
The idea behind Share Apps on the Play Store was originally to make it easier to share apps with other Android users when there's no WiFi or mobile data connection. However, with more or less the same functionality available on other apps, Google may want to increase the number of users who can use it. What do you think?
