Google Search Offers Squid Game-Based Mini-Game



Squid Game is the most popular TV series with the most views in Netflix history, and has also generated revenue of over RM3.7 billion. Now, after 3 years of being broadcast on Netflix, the second season is already available for binge-watching with 7 episodes. Google Search is also celebrating the launch of Squid Game season 2 with a mini-game.


When you do a Google search with the keyword squid game, an invitation card with the iconic Squid Game logo will appear at the bottom of the screen. When pressed, the pink-shirted game worker with a circle, square and triangle icon along with a giant statue of Young-hee for the Red Light game, Green Light will appear.


You can play this mini-game by pressing the O or X button at the bottom of the screen to move and stop. This button is significant in Squid Game as a voting button whether to continue or stop the game. In Google Search, after losing the character will continue to fade and disappear – unlike in the real TV series which is very violent.
