Government Increases FLYsiswa Subsidy to RM400 Effective 1 January 2025

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim today announced that the FLYsiswa subsidy assistance which eases the burden of students buying flight tickets will be increased by RM100, bringing the total FLYsiswa subsidy to RM400 starting 1 January 2024.

The FLYsiswa initiative was previously initiated in an effort to ease the burden of students from Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan who need to buy flight tickets to the Peninsula, and vice versa.

FLYsiswa is offered in the form of a digital voucher to every eligible student, and can be redeemed for the purchase of flight tickets for domestic routes between the Peninsula, Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan.

By helping to ease the financial burden of students, it is also aimed at allowing students to fully focus on their respective studies.
