To continue the momentum in supporting and enhancing the startup ecosystem in the global halal industry, applications for the second cohort of HASAN.VC are now open. It is held with the aim of supporting and assisting local startups, especially Muslim and female entrepreneurs, in the early stages. At the same time, it creates opportunities for founders to improve the performance of their respective companies by providing relevant resources and guidance.
The program will run for seven weeks online and also offers comprehensive training and ongoing support to help them succeed in this ecosystem. It includes a funding offer (or pre-seed funding) of up to US$60,000 (RM268,000), guidance from successful Muslim founders, and access to over 500 important investor networks.
HASAN.VC, which also received funding from Quest Ventures, Gobi Partners, Artem, Global Invest, Ethis, First Move, 12.5 VC and Insignia Ventures Partners, will take place with various activities and exciting masterclass workshop sessions. Participants will also benefit from the same ecosystem players, access to over 60 million partner data, and government funding matching opportunities.
Ten companies with high growth potential will be selected for each cohort to receive funding in exchange for equity. Those selected will also be required to present their innovative ideas and business models to a panel of judges at the culminating Demo Day event for final evaluation. Interested startups can submit their applications online on the official HASAN.VC website until 19 December 2024, after which the program will begin on 6 January 2025.
