Next year we are expected to see a new offering of more affordable laptops, and this laptop by Honor could be one of them. It will be introduced in 2025, and will be powered by a new Intel processor.
Named Honor Notebook X14 Plus, it will be powered by the Intel Core 200H processor, and specifically, the Intel Core 5 220H which is the first time this processor has been shown. The laptop comes with a 14-inch screen display and has a resolution of 2.8K with a choice of LPDDR5X memory from 16GB to 32GB.
According to several reports, the Intel Core 5 220H CPU will come with a processing speed of up to 4.9GHz with a TDP value of 45W. In terms of core details, this CPU is equipped with 12 cores and 16 power threads consisting of four performance cores (P-cores) and eight efficiency cores (E-cores).
If you are wondering about the background of this Intel Core 200H CPU model, it seems to be a 13th generation Intel Raptor Lake-H processor that has been rebranded so that it can be marketed as a new processor. Unfortunately, unlike the Intel Core Ultra 200V Lunar Lake series of processors, this series of processors is not developed for the benefit of AI technology.
This Honor Notebook X14 Plus laptop seems to be offered in the Chinese market first with pre-orders opening on December 12, 2024. So far it is not known if this laptop will be offered in other markets such as Malaysia.
