iPhone Users Can Now Quickly Share Files to Windows Devices Like AirDrop

Not everyone who uses an iPhone owns a Mac, so this makes file sharing and other tasks a little more difficult for users. That's why since last year, Microsoft has supported Phone Link on iPhones to make it friendly to use with Windows devices. Most recently, a quick file sharing feature has been included.

If you have finished setting up Phone Link between your iPhone and Windows device, with the new update you can directly select the file you want to share, press share and choose to share to Link to Windows. Your Windows device will display a notification that the file transfer process from your iPhone to your device is complete and ready to open in a folder.

Not only that, from your Windows computer you can also share files directly to your iPhone. Select any file, press share and select share to My Phone and Windows will send the file to your device that is active with the Phone Link connection.

This feature appears to be limited to Windows Insider users using Phone Link version 1.24112.89.0, Link to Windows iOS app version 1.24112.73 and iPhones running iOS 16 and above.
