Itch.io is one of the leading indie video game and application stores, allowing various independent or individual developers to publish games developed through it. However, the site is now inaccessible, due to the Itch.io domain name being suspended.
According to Itch.io's sharing, it is said that this happened because Funko used an artificial intelligence-powered software to protect branding, causing the software to send false reports to the domain registrar, thus leading to the suspension of access to the domain name.
Itch.io has contacted their domain name registrar, but it seems to have been ignored, and the Itch.io domain name is still suspended.
Through Itch.io's latest sharing, they stated that if the access problem continues for a period of more than 8 hours, then they will consider introducing a new domain name for their service.
