A few days ago, LG launched their own streaming platform. It is not what you might expect, because it is not for video but for radio. It is called LG Radio+.
LG Radio+ is offered through their TV app store, the Content Store, where the radio content is global and is also supplied by Radioline. Through LG Radio+, various audio content can also be accessed such as podcasts and live broadcast stations. NPR, CNN Radio, Fox Radio or The Joe Rogan Experience are among those that will be provided to users.
This streaming platform can also be accessed by giving voice commands. To make it even easier for users, LG Radio+ will also be offered through the LG ThinQ application. In the future, it will also be integrated directly into their XBOOM speakers. For now, LG Radio+ will only be offered in the United States with over 14,500 channels and in South Korea with over 440 channels.
LG Radio+ is a free radio streaming platform with ads and there is no indication that LG intends to charge for it so far.
