At Computex Taipei in the middle of this year, we reported that ZOTAC, a gaming hardware and component manufacturer, has introduced its own portable PC console called ZOTAC Zone.
The console is powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 8840U processor along with 16GB of LPDDR5X memory and a PCIe Gen4 M.2 2280 SSD storage with 512GB of storage. It comes with a 7.0-inch AMOLED touchscreen display with Full HD resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and 800nit brightness value along with a 170-degree viewing angle.
The console uses shoulder buttons with two different settings with built-in switches for different controls. Then on the analog knob there is a Hall Effect switch and a Radial Dial rotary knob which is used to control the volume or screen brightness. It also includes two touch pads that are easy to control with your thumb.
It also comes with two USB 4.0 ports on the top and bottom of the console, which can be used to charge devices, and used with a dock that can be purchased separately when it launches.
Both ports come with support for DisplayPort 1.4 connectivity, allowing users to connect the console to larger displays.
Recently, we learned that ZOTAC Malaysia, through its official distributor SunCycle, has opened pre-orders for the console, and it will officially go on sale at the WOW Carnival at an event to be held on the fifth floor of The Starling Mall in Damansara Utama from 13 to 15 December 2024.
The event, which is being held in conjunction with computer store PC Image, is expected to showcase the console and a number of other gaming products at the event.
Lowyat.Net also reported that pre-orders for the console have already opened at a price of RM3899 and will go on sale officially at the event on 13 December. Apart from that, a storage frame priced at RM189 and a charging and USB dock priced at RM289 will also be sold at the event.
For customers who pre-order the console at Sun Cycle's official partner stores, the storage frame will be officially offered, while the dock will be offered at RM199.
