Since more and more users have come to know and love the concept of a streaming platform encompassing annual activities, this feature has continued to be a trend every year. This year we have already seen Apple Music Replay, Spotify Wrapped, YouTube Recap and many more including PlayStation and Instagram. Most recently, Max has introduced its own iteration.
It is called Max Rewind which uses the same concept, where each graphic released can be shared to any social media platform. With Max Rewind, users will receive special characters based on their usage patterns throughout the year. Among the most popular characters is Pickle Rick from Rick & Morty. Not only that, Max will also provide other content recommendations to enjoy.
This content is based on what users like from various genres or “channels” such as TLC, Food Network, ID, HGTV, Magnolia Network, Adult Swim/Cartoon Network, TBS and DC. In Max Rewind, content promoted according to the season from the beginning of the year until December can also be accessed quickly. The content highlighted is “The Sopranos”, “The Sympathizer”, “The Matrix”, “House of the Dragon”, “The Penguin,” “Dune: Prophecy” and “Friends”.
This is the first time Max Rewind has been introduced to all users globally. At the time of my review, Max Rewind was not yet accessible on Android and iOS devices. Hopefully, since Max only launched last month, this feature is not offered. It will arrive via a notification from within the app.
