The MSI Claw 8 AI+ was introduced a few months ago, and will be powered by Intel’s Core Ultra 285V “Lunar Lake” processor, the latest thin and light laptop processor to power the console.
Now, Nextrift has reported that the console has been listed at SIRIM for testing, and it looks like it will be entering the local market soon. It is listed as the “Claw 8”, but since the MSI Claw 8 model is already on sale in the local market.
Based on our first look article, apart from the alleged Intel Lunar Lake processor, it comes with an 8-inch IPS screen display with a 120Hz refresh rate and an 80Wh battery and two Thunderbolt 4 ports.
As of now, it is not known when MSI Malaysia will start selling this console in the local market. Our expectation is that we won't have to wait long because pre-orders for this console are already open for markets like the United States and it will be officially unveiled during the CES 2025 event.
