Netflix Gives Squid Game: Unleashed Free to Everyone Next Week

The Squid Game: Unleashed pre-release was previously announced as a battle royale game themed around the popular Netflix series. At The Game Awards this morning, Netflix announced that the pre-release will be available for free download to everyone.

This is different from previous Netflix Games pre-releases that require a subscription to the Netflix service before being playable. Players will control a character and then try to get through each Squid Games game such as Red Light Green Light with the aim of being the last participant not to die.

Squid Game Unleashed can be downloaded on Android and iOS devices on December 17. It is seen as an effort to promote the second season of Squid Game which will arrive on Netflix on December 26.
