Nissan Kicks e-Power Launched – EV Uses Petrol to Generate Electricity Starting at RM 113,800

At the KLIMS 2024 event this morning, Nissan has launched their electric car (EV), the Kicks e-Power. Unlike other EVs that require charging and take up the user's time, the Nissan Kicks e-Power generates electricity using petrol which does not require a long charging time.

A full petrol charge allows it to travel up to 900 km, with an average energy consumption of 21.7km/L. This petrol is used to charge the battery and also provides electrical power directly to the second-generation e-Power electric motor. In fact, the e-Power electric system has been improved in terms of battery capacity from 1.57 kWh to 2.06 kWh, and the battery cells have been increased from 80 cells to 96 cells, to provide power as high as 95kW with a maximum torque of 280 nm.

Apart from that, it is also equipped with 9 smart driving functions, and the main benefit of this Nissan Kicks e-Power is electric-like acceleration, without any worries about charging. The Nissan Kicks e-Power is offered in two versions, namely VL and VT, with the VT version also offered in a two-tone color option.

The Nissan Kicks e-Power VL is sold at RM 113,800 with a 5-year or 100,000km warranty, and an 8-year or 160,000km warranty on electrical components and batteries. The VLT version will be sold at RM 121,800 while the two-tone VLT is sold at RM 125,800.

Specially for the first 500 buyers for all variants, a rebate of RM 5000 and also an additional 2-year electrical component warranty, making the electrical component warranty 10 years or 160,000km.

With the introduction of the Nissan Kicks e-Power, it will be able to offer consumers a different electric car option, with the benefits of an electric motor, without any charging worries.
