Nothing Phone (3a) Series May Be Powered by Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 Chip and Equipped with Telephoto Camera

After Nothing's three mid-range devices were powered by MediaTek Dimensity chips, Nothing seems to be switching to Qualcomm chips next year. Recently, Android Authority found a line of code regarding the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip for their new devices.

In the Nothing OS 3.0 code, they found evidence that the Nothing Phone (3a) and Nothing Phone (3a) Plus will be powered by Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chips. Three devices were also found in the code using the names asteroids, asteroids_plus and galaga. These codes are said to represent the Phone (3a) series, while the other is for the CMF Phone 2.

Next year, Nothing is expected to launch three devices first. The Phone (3a) is expected to support a telephoto camera sensor, while the Phone (3a) Plus will be equipped with a telephoto periscope sensor. For the CMF Phone 2, it is said to remain with the next-generation MediaTek Dimensity chip. Could it be the Dimensity 8400 that was just launched today?

If these three devices are the first to arrive in 2025, this means their flagship Phone (3) with Nothing OS featuring deep generative AI integration will arrive later. Are you looking forward to this new generation of Nothing Phone?
