Yesterday we shared that using the NVIDIA App was causing a large number of PC games to perform worse, particularly with lower frame rates.
We also said that the specific issue reported was due to an overlay feature in the app, and that it could be turned off while NVIDIA rolled out an update for the app.
The update is not yet available, but NVIDIA has now confirmed that the performance issue is due to the Game Filters and Photo Mode features installed under the overlay feature.
For now, NVIDIA recommends that users turn off this feature first to restore their graphics card performance to its original numbers. An update to fix this issue will be released soon.
