NVIDIA Re-Organizes LAN Party After 13 Years to Launch RTX 50XX

The GeForce LAN 50 event was announced by NVIDIA over the weekend to launch the RTX 50XX series of graphics cards. It will be held from January 4 to 6, 2025 in four locations: Las Vegas, Berlin, Taipei, and Beijing. The LAN party will run continuously for 50 hours to fulfill the theme of the highly anticipated RTX 50XX graphics card launch.

This is the first large-scale LAN party organized by NVIDIA in 13 years. With the introduction of high-speed internet, events that require computers to be physically located and connected using LAN cables are no longer very popular.

But in the early days of PC video games, LAN parties were regular events that strengthened the relationship between specific video game communities. When we were in college, LAN parties for the video games Counter Strike and Ragnarok Online were among the most popular, held several times a year in collaboration with university management.

Anyone can join GeForce LAN 50, with a limit of only 400 participants per location. Then they need to pay a $125 deposit which will be refunded to avoid a no-show. For NVIDIA fans who can't attend GeForce LAN 50, they can still win some exciting prizes by using the NVIDIA App software and sharing it on social media.
