Panasonic has introduced two new cameras in the Lumix lineup with the LUMIX G97 hybrid mirrorless camera with Lumix G Vario 12-60mm f/3.5-5.6 lens, and the LUMIX ZS99 compact camera. Both new cameras feature a variety of improved photo and video features to improve image quality to new heights.
With a 24-720mm Leica DC Vario-Elmar lens, the LUMIX ZS99 offers 30X optical zoom and up to 60X with iZoom, ideal for clear close-up shots. It also has the ability to record videos in Full HD 4K/30P resolution with built-in 5-Axis HYBRID O.I.S.+ support. In addition, it can also record Full HD videos at 120fps for slow-motion shooting.
Wi-Fi connectivity is also present for remote control needs and transferring images directly to mobile devices. At the same time, it is updated with Bluetooth 5.0, a USB-C port and a dedicated Send Image button for smooth file transfer to a smartphone. The LUMIX ZS99 also features an LCD panel on the rear and a viewfinder with 1,840 million dots. At the same time, it is small enough to fit in a pocket and durable, making it suitable for shooting outdoor activities.
The LUMIX G97 also has a 20.3MP Micro Four Thirds sensor, built-in 5-stop 5-axis Dual I.S. 2 image stabilization and 4K/30P video recording capabilities. It also offers the LUMIX Photo Style feature that allows users to refine images with a variety of color effects, while the Live View Composite feature is suitable for use in bright situations without overexposure issues in the background.
S&Q Mode and V-Log L Mode are also present for cinematic content creation needs. In addition, the rear of the camera also houses a 3-inch LCD screen with better resolution and a 2,360 million dot OLED viewfinder. Other features include Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity and a USB-C port for seamless image and video transfer across devices.
The new LUMIX ZS99 will be available in black and silver in February 2025 for $499.99 (~RM2,252). The LUMIX G97 will be available in late February 2025 for $849.99 (~RM3,829) for the 12-60mm kit lens (DC-G97MK).
