S Pen for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 May Use Apple Pencil Technology

With the absence of the Samsung Galaxy Note series, the use of the S Pen stylus is now used on the Galaxy S Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Tab S series. In the future, to enable the thinner Galaxy Z Fold7 to be produced, Samsung will reportedly use Apple Pencil-like technology on their S-Pen.

According to ETNews, Samsung will switch from electromagnetic resonance (EMR) technology to active electrostatic (AES) on the device's screen. AES is the technology used by Apple Pecil that requires a battery to send electrical signals to the screen. This means that the S-Pen needs to be charged like the Apple Pencil is charged on the iPad.

This may not be a big issue because the S-Pen itself is a user's choice and it is not included at all. However, after this, if it is realized, users will need to make sure that the S-Pen always has a battery before using it. The uniqueness of the S-Pen compared to the Apple Pencil is that it does not have a battery and it seems that this will change next year.

It is not sure what Samsung will do to ensure that the Galaxy Z Fold7 design remains thin along with S-Pen support. Let's wait and see.
