The use of generative AI is now becoming more interesting after various device manufacturers integrate useful features directly into their devices. Most recently, Samsung is seen to be coming with a number of special plugins for Google Gemini.
Here is a list of plugins found hidden in the Gemini application code on Android devices;
Samsung Clock:
Create/delete/find/update/show alarms
Start/stop/rest stopwatch
Create/delete/find/update/show timers
Samsung Notes:
Create/delete/find/update note folder
Create/delete/find/update/show notes
Samsung Reminder:
Create/delete/find/update/show task categories
Create/delete/find/update/show tasks
Samsung Calendar:
Create/delete/find/update/show events
With this support, Samsung device users are no longer limited to using Gemini with applications by Google. In the future, just saying Hey Google on Samsung devices users can continue to control and set alarms, notes, reminders and calendars from Samsung applications. However, this feature is said to arrive via Gemini in the upcoming Android 16.
Not only that, Samsung is also seen trying to offer its own AI audio eraser feature similar to the Audio Eraser on Google Photos. This feature will most likely be included in the gallery app of Samsung devices under Galaxy AI to make it easier to edit videos with clearer and brighter audio. This feature may arrive in One UI 7 after the stable version is introduced next year.
