As part of its holiday update, Tesla has confirmed that it will be introducing a dedicated app for its Apple Watch smartwatch accessory as early as next week.
With this app, Tesla vehicle owners can use their Apple Watch as a car key, a button to open the front hood, in-car climate control, and even as a way to see the vehicle's charge level without using their iPhone.
Meanwhile, Tesla also said that as part of this holiday update, the app on iPhone devices can also watch and save video footage recorded by the car's camera.
For Tesla car owners, this feature is certainly a long-awaited one because it makes it easier to operate the car without having to rely too much on a smart device or the Tesla car key itself.
