Vivo has officially launched two new products, the S20 and S20 Pro, in China. Despite the similarities, the main differences between the two devices are the processor chip, camera and battery capacity. In addition, a flat panel is used on the S20 model while the pro version is equipped with a curved screen on all four sides.
Both models use a 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz. In addition, it has HDR10+ certification and a peak brightness of 5000nits. This is also matched with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip on the S20 model while the Pro version is powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 9300+ chip. Memory options are up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
Vivo has equipped the S20 Pro with a 50MP tri-sensor for main, ultra-wide and telephoto with 3X optical zoom. Meanwhile, the S20 model has a 50MP + 8MP ultra-wide main camera with OIS. Both also feature Aura Light and a 50MP selfie camera. A larger 6500mAh battery capacity with 80W fast charging is used on the S20 model, while the S20 Pro is powered by a 5500mAh battery that can be charged via 90W fast charging.
Other specifications include Bluetooth 5.4, an in-screen fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers and IP64 waterproofing. The official retail price starts at RMB 2299 (~RM1,408) for the S20 and starts at RMB3399 (~RM2,082) for the pro model.
