In conjunction with the ASEAN Summit 2025 held in Kuala Lumpur, 61 units of Proton e.MAS 7 electric cars (EVs) will be the official vehicles for the main delegations. In addition to the e.MAS 7, 194 units of Proton X70 cars will also be used.
This move also realizes Malaysia's goal to empower the use of EVs at the administrative level and support the local EV industry. The Proton eMAS 7, which was launched in December last year, is the first EV produced by a Malaysian company and will be used to transport the Secretary-General during the conference.
In the same development, Proton announced that it has received more than 3,000 orders for the Proton e.MAS 7. Therefore, Proton New Energy Technology Sdn Bhd (PRO-NET) is now continuing to offer a power package and a RM4000 rebate to another 3,000 customers who made the earliest order.
