Several local banks are ready to add support for Google Wallet. The latest to add support for Google's digital wallet is Alliance Bank.
Through this addition, users of Visa credit cards issued by Alliance Bank Malaysia can also add their cards to Google Wallet, and then use them when paying using Google Wallet.
Google Wallet is a digital wallet application and service by Google, allowing users to link cards directly to Android smartphones, and pay in stores by touching the phone to a payment terminal. This method is achieved through the use of Android phones that support NFC technology.
Apart from Alliance Bank, other banks that are also supported under Google Wallet are AmBank, Bank Muamalat, CIMB Bank, Hong Leong Bank, HSBC Bank, Maybank, Public Bank, RHB Bank and Standard Chartered Bank.
